Mes Amis is situated in its new home at Centre Point and guests traveling on the BTS will find it convenient to find. Depart at the Thong Lo station, walk up Sukhumvit Soi 55 to Thong Lo Soi 8, which is only a 7 or 8 minute walk while patrons that drive to the restaurant will find parking is plentiful.

Mes Amis, originally located on Soi 5, now enjoys its new home on the corner of Thong Lor Soi 8. The restaurant views city life behind a large all window frontage that faces Sukhumvit Soi 55. This open feeling is adorned with a nice interior of high ceilings, booths and geberously spaced modern-style tables and chairs with wine colored seats. This French / European-style restaurant offers no alcohol as we understand it is the policy of Centre Point, where the restaurant is housed. Guests are certainly welcome to BYO (bring your own) and stopping by the wine shop to select a reasonably priced bottle of wine for dinner eliminates that frustrating moment of which wine to choose from the menu. Wine can be very expensive at restaurants and if you BYO then you usually have to pay a hefty corkage charge so customers often just pay the high price. Not Here! There is No Corkage Charge to customers that select to bring their own alcohol. There is also, however, a whopping selection of non-alcoholic beverages.

The list begins with 8 or 9 Hot & Iced Cafe Lattes, Milk Lattes, Iced Lattes, many flavors of Hot & Iced Teas, Fresh Fruit Juices, about 15 Smoothies, soft drinks, and even some non-alcoholic cocktails and mineral water.

My girlfriend and I visited here about 3 weeks back and enjoyed a meal of mostly French cuisine so when asked if we would like to review the restaurant again, we jumped to the opportunity.

We invited another couple to join us for this visit and we arrived for dinner about 5Pm on a Friday evening before heading to the movies. It was still rather early but a few tables were occupied so we chose to sit at a booth on the side of the dining room. This evening we were here to sample some of the European cuisine and agreed to concentrate on the pasta and seafood dishes on the menu. We started with a couple Iced Butterscotch Lattes, with Iced coffee, milk, and special flavoring for our friends, a Mango Frozen Fresh Fruit Juice for my girlfriend and I chose the Mixed Berries Smoothie with blueberries, blackberries, red currant, and raspberries which was the same drink that I enjoyed the last time I was here. The drinks are fun, delicious and healthy.

I recommended my friends start with the Onion Soup and the Crab Cakes (3) that were so delicious during our first visit while my girlfriend and I shared an order of Soft Shell Crab Salad. Everybody had smiles on their faces so it was obvious that all were enjoying the food. We then chose our main dishes and there are some fantastic selections like the Charcoal-Grilled US Prime Ribeye Steak, the Australian Wagyu Beef Teriyaki, or even the Roasted Crumble-Crusted Lamb Chops with ratatouille that I enjoyed the last time I was here but we chose to eat a bit light. My girlfriend selected the Grilled King Prawn with Angel Hair Aglio and I chose the Lasagna Bolognese that was served with an organic salad. Our friends decided to share an order of Spaghetti Bolognese and a Roasted Lamb Sandwich. Well, everybody was happy and chatting away when another one of our friends that we invited to join us had arrived. She chose the Lamb Shank in Red Wine served with Mashed Potato along with a White Chocolate and Oreo Smoothie and eventhough I had eaten a lot of food already, her lamb shank looked absolutely delicious. She also ordered a Cheeseburger and Fries to take home to her husband. You can guess that we certainly weren't going to pass up dessert. My girlfriend and I chose to share the Pina Colada Cheesecake while our two friends chose to share the Khalua Coffee Cake. Our other friend joined in and had the Brownie Fudge, a chocolatie treat surrounded by fresh fruits. Wow, a lot of great food at a very reasonable price. How do you top that?

There is a Buffet Breakfast along with some nice A La Carte breakfast items and don't forget to stop by Mon - Fri for the 3-Course Set Lunch (comes with 1 non-alcoholic drink).

Our next visit will be for favorites from the Chine Chine part of the menu, so look for us in the Chinese category too.
