As expected there is bamboo decor. With bamboo-shaped chopsticks, bamboo featured on the plates, gentle lighting adds to the intimate feel of the restaurant. You may dine of the more formal 4th floor or on the 3rd floor with a cozy bar room or terrace having wooden flooring and cream covered canvas chairs.

When it comes to the food; specialties include Malay style spring rolls and satay or Indian samosa to start. Less well known is the Sotong Goreng Rasa Kelapa, which is coconut battered fried squid. With a deliciously crunchy outside it has a slightly sweet flavor covering the tender squid. Another good way to wake up your taste buds is with the Makanan Laut Bersama Buah Dragon which is more commonly known as a pomelo, mango, dragon fruit and seafood salad served with sweet chili dressing. This dish is a traditional Nyonya dish originating from the Chinese Malays and named after the womenfolk. Typical Nyonya cuisine mixes sweet sour and spicy flavours. Panggang Salmon Sos Mango is another of their most celebrated dishes served in style at Bamboo where salmon is marinated in mango sauce and served grilled in a banana leaf. There is a traditional spiced beef stew cooked in coconut milk that is hearty and flavorful. The stir-fried baby kai lan with dried shrimp is one of the best dishes in the house. The popiah is homemade crepes stuffed with raw vegetables, prawns and Malaysian sausages with perfectly balanced flavors and texture.

From the Indian part of the menu there is the unsurpassable roti canai – freshly cooked and shredded which goes perfectly with everything on the menu, like for example the Gosht Rogan Josh a rich and spicy curry from Kashmir. Or try the Tandoori Pomfret Gulnar – whole pomfret marinated with lemon juice yoghurt and spices.

For dessert, the deep-fried ice cream in coconut batter is a great finaleand as an alternative there is lemon sorbet with fresh fruit.

The list of wine and 5 champagnes includes an extensive list which is most unique for this type of restaurant. Staff is well trained and is attentive when necessary.
