This charming colonial-style house is located at soi 19, near Silom Road. The restaurant offers Thai, Laos and north-eastern (Isan) cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.
The picture menu offers sections for fish and meats. A great starter is one of the restaurant's som tam varieties, such as, som tam with deep-fried fish, with fresh prawn, or with crab. The hors d'oeuvres Lan Chang are great for a group, with a combination platter of fried Isan pork sausage, fried pork and preserved eggs, served with chilli dip. Don't miss the signature dish, steamed marinated freshwater fish wrapped in fragrant cha plu leaves. For authentic Laos-Isan cuisine, try the pot of traditional spicy soup with a choice of sirloin, pork, chicken or seafood with fresh veggies, noodles, egg and Isan sauce. There is also fried whole seabass with sweet and sour tamarind sauce topped with sun-dried chilli or try the steamed whole fish stuffed with marinated minced pork, herbs and chilli. Other favorites include the stir-fried river prawn with garlic and dried pepper and the basket of fried marinated chicken with lemongrass served with chilli sauce. Complete the meal with bean jelly and mixed fresh fruits with syrup and ice.
