A modern setting of glass windows make up the frontage of the building as it opens up to Soi Langsuan. A spacious interior offers comfortable seating in separate areas.
After hearing some good things, we returned to Calderazzo after a time lapse of a couple years to see how the restaurant has fared and what adjustments have been made. We were extremely pleased to see that just about every aspect of the restaurant had improved, from the food & wine list to the produce and even the expertise of the staff. Amongst the starters, favorites include carpaccio del papa, or thinly sliced Australian beef with shaved parmigiano, walnut and mushroom. There are too many fresh pasta and risotto dishes to mention, but a standout example is fettucine verde, hand-made spinach fettucine with Italian pork sausage, porcini and shiitake mushrooms. Other excellent main dishes include osso bucco served on saffron risotto, and the center-cut tenderloin. Dessert offers lemoncella, a perfectly baked lemon tart and creamy panna cotta.
A fairly extensive wine list includes some affordable Italian, Australian and New Zealand wines.
