Located in The Westin Kuala Lumpur hotel, Eest is a contemporary restaurant that offers a spectacular view.
The menu, geared toward Pan - Asian cuisine, is divided into 5 regions; Japanese, Chinese, Malaysian, Thai and Vietnamese.
Classic favorites are popular with dishes showing culinary wizardry with some very impressive preparation of each dish. One particular dish that I enjoyed was the kerabu mangga sotong with calamari, shallots, scallions and chilli. Try the soft kani mentaiko with soft-shell crab, spicy cod roe and fish flakes that will please every taste bud in your mouth. Other favorites are the popia goreng istimewa, filled with lobster and curry scented vegetables, a Thai favorite is the kaeng kiew wan kai while the Vietnamese pho dac biet has a crispy rice paper roll with a banana/salmon filling.
Along with a very nice choice of wines, many from the new world region, there are cocktails and varieties of rice wine. Servers are very professional and eager to offer good service. |
