| Question: |
I am interested in
submitting my restaurant on your web site, however, I have additional questions.
Can I contact you via email? |
| Answer: |
Yes, send your questions to: mgmt@asia.com |
| Question: |
How can you give an unbiased opinion of a restaurant, its food and the service? |
|
Answer: |
Prior to a restaurant being posted on our site, unannounced individuals from our
company or experienced local diners will eat at their establishment to inspect and
review their overall food and services. They are not uppity restaurant hippys or stuffy
wine connoisseurs but are average diners like you and me.
Unfortunately, some restaurants may be declined participation on our site for many
reasons, such as, insufficient hygiene, less than good quality food and service or
unethical practices. |
| Question: |
How and who decides on the rating posted for each restaurant? |
| Answer: |
We have a criteria that must be met for a restaurant to receive a particular rating in
each category. For instance, the DRINK category requires a restaurant to have at
least 12 quality red wines to be eligible for "2 1/2 bars" (a 5 out of a possible 10) and
at least 15 quality red wines for "3 bars" (a 6 out of a possible 10) or an excellent
rating. |
| Question: |
Why is it that I have a problem making an entry to your guestbook? |
| Answer: |
We keep the guestbook to a reasonable (and a maximum) number of entries and
when it surpasses that amount the guestbook automatically stops new entries from
being recorded. As we delete old entries, space is then available for new customers
to comment in the guestbook. |
| Question: |
How is it decided which restaurants are posted on your site? |
| Answer: |
There are many factors. Restaurants are selected by their value and quality. We
offer a limited number of restaurants in each food category while also having a
limited number of restaurants and pubs in any particular locality. |
| Question: |
Some of your restaurants have a line of text on the bottom of their webpage stating
the page is complimentary for a limited time, what does this mean? |
| Answer: |
In some cases, due to numerous compliments we will feature a restaurant because
it is found to be of superior quality of either its food, service, or both. The complete
opposite may also apply where we post information regarding a restaurant which
results from negative comments from customers, where they have found such an
establishment to be less than acceptable. |
| Question: |
What if you receive many comments/complaints about a restaurant on your website
that has poor habits of customer service or food quality? Do you do anything? |
| Answer: |
All inquiries or comments we receive (generally by email) are taken very seriously
and are generally passed on to the restaurant the comments pertain to. Customer
emails and guestbook entries reflects such comments by legitimate customers. No
business person wants negative feed-back to hurt his business but it is the concern
of the business owner to take any necessary action. |
