This stylish Italian restaurant was the first completed as part of the hotel’s comprehensive renovation. It has a modern look with bright red bottles lining glass walls together with wood and bamboo. High ceiling and large windows add to the bright and spacious feel. There is an open kitchen at one end.
the menu offers antipasti, soup, salad, risotto, pizza, pasta and main courses of fish and meat. The signature dishes include black mussel soup and creamy asparagus risotto with pan-seared duck liver. Appetisers are available in servings for two or for four persons. Pastas are available in combination platters for two, four and six persons ranging in price from 650 to 1,950 baht. The starter of baked eggplant and zucchini with mozzarella cheese, parma ham and tomato has each ingredient adding to its flavor. Pizza has a paper thin crust and tasty from tomato, mozzarella, arugula, parma ham, parmesan and truffle oil. Spaghetti with Phuket lobster and mushrooms in a zesty tomato sauce is certrainly recommended. A favorite dish is zucchini-wrapped sea bream with almond sauce, beetroot carpaccio and salmon roe. For dessert, Tiramisu is an excellent choice.
White and red wines from France, Italy, and new world varietals are offered at a full range of prices. The waitstaff is courteous and sharply dressed while attentive and able to make recommendations and comments.
