Le Coq d'Or restaurant has been open for almost 4 decades in an "English Country House" setting, surrounded with greenery and located on Koh Klang Road. Le Coq d’Or is full of elegance, atmosphere and personality, with three separate dining areas, each with a distinctive ambience.

The menu is comprised of classic French fare with a creative twist that will allow patrons to experience what I feel is an exquisite dining opportunity unique to almost any place is Southeast Asia. The only other restaurant comparable to the experience patrons will receive here is probably the "Le Normandie", at the Oriental Hotel in Bangkok. Le Coq d'or offers innovative dishes that are faultless and executed with elegant presentation, such as; the golden Oscietra caviar and Maine lobster from Boston, or the irresistible roasted rack of Australian lamb. Fish lovers will be hard-pressed to beat the locally caught mountain trout with capers while other favorites include peppered fillet of ostrich, kobe beef, and classic French fare, such as, Seafood bouillabaisse, escargots, chateaubriand, and frog legs. Can anybody go to a fantastic French restaurant and deny themselves the opportunity to have dessert? The souffle, crepes and profiteroles should not be missed.
