After operating seafood restaurants for years in Bangkok, this family-owned seafood restaurant recently moved to Silom Road. The interior is scarce of fancy decor and it is the smallest of the restaurants they have previously operated in the past but the owners offer patrons the same family recipes.
Most seafood favorites are found here and they include the restaurant's signature dish of Fried Crab with Curry Powder. The curry sauce is a blend of curry powder, onion, duck egg, and spices. Appetisers start with Deep-fried Crab Meat Balls complemented by a plum sauce. The balls of crab meat were very good, however, the plum sauce didn't have much taste. Scallops are also on the menu, 6 each are included in this dish, baked with garlic sauce and after our beer arrived it was a great way to start the meal. Fish offers Steamed Grouper, served Chinese-style with ginger, bell-pepper, shitake mushroom and soy sauce. This catch is from the sea and offers a lot of meat to serve 2 to 3. We were treated to a dish of Bamboo Shai that was accompanied by kale, carrot, and shitake mushroom. The imported bamboo shai has a chewy texture and along with the other vegetables is covered in gravy. When available, the stir-fried fresh king lobster is served with yellow curry powder and is another great selection.
Selection of wine is limited here so we enjoyed beer which went along well with our seafood selections complemented with curry sauce.
