Ngee Ann City is located in the heart of Orchard Road, housing two towers of offices and Takashimaya, the largest Japanese departmental store in Singapore and Nogawa Restaurant.
A variety of Japanese foods are served at Nogawa restaurant, ranging from sushi and sashimi to tempura and teriyaki. Examples of prices are Nigiri sushi special at $60 and the chirashi sushi, a delicious tray of fresh, raw fish and seafood on sushi rice at $45. Tekka don, a bowl of sushi rice topped with slices of fresh, raw tuna and a small amount of horseradish costs $40.
Foods served are of high quality and only in a la carte form. This is unlike the normal set meals that are served in other Japanese restaurants, which commonly cater to those who are unfamiliar with the Japanese cuisine. The menu does not have any pictures on it, therefore, one must understand the names of the food before they can make their orders as most are in Japanese. As for the raw ingredients used, most of them are specially imported from Japan to maintain the high quality and standard in the food produced. |
