There is no end to the stalls and shops at Beijing's
Panjiayuan Market
This is a super-sized shopping
extravaganza for all types of Chinese arts and
crafts. There are over 3,000 stalls and there is something here for everyone.
No stalls are alike so you can compare and bargain for an excellent range
of goods. Stall owners come from 24
provinces in China to sell their wares.
Panjiayuan
Market, a weekend event. The Antique Zone is open daily but
the Arts & Crafts Warehouse Zone is open Saturday and Sunday only.

Shopping for jade. Sales people are friendly and easy to engage and may
speak English. It helps if you can
learn Chinese numbers
or use a pen &
paper to write them down and show as you bargain.

Teapots in all shapes and sizes. You should be able to get a nice
box
for your teapot. Most fragile items come with a box or case.
