 SUSHI:

No, it's not raw seafood , which is correctly termed sashimi. It is made with vinegared rice and combined with different fillings and toppings, such as; seafood, vegetables, meat & eggs. Some of the most common types of Sushi are:
Nori: Dried seaweed, often used to wrap the rice and fillings.
Maki: The most popular type of sushi in a cylinder shape, maki is rolled Sushi, sometimes wrapped in Nori, and usually defined by either Futomaki, being larger sized rolls with numerous fillings while the Hosomaki are thin, having only one filling. There is Uramaki, which is actually inside-out as the rice is on the outside and the Nori is on the inside. California Roll with its avacado, crab and cucumber and the Spider Roll with soft-shell crab are two of the best known examples.

Sushi and sashimi are very popular in Thailand as the number of Japanese restaurants have been substantially growing with and explosion of health food conscious patrons along with an increasing population of Japanese expatriates and tourists.

Korean meals usually start with a large dish of hors d'ouevres and almost always include the tang  of Kimchi and the richness of Barbecued Beef. Vegetarian meals are very popular and very often restaurants will offer a selection of genuinely vegetarian items.
