Although fondues are traditionally the heart of Swiss cuisine, the food that is available at 
most Swiss restaurants is much more varied. European influences have found their way into most Swiss menus which often include pastas or meat dishes with rich sauces. It is, of course, the dairy products that give Swiss food its distinctive touch, with cheese being the center of many meals. As always the Swiss cheese or chocolate fondue is a treat not to be missed.
