  Chinese & Cantonese Cuisine

The majority of Bangkok's Thai-Chinese population originated from Shantou on China's southern coast and most neighborhood. Ginger, spring onion, sugar, salt, soy sauce, rice wine, corn starch and oil are sufficient for most Cantonese cooking with garlic used heavily in some dishes. Five spices powder, white pepper powder and many other spices are used in Cantonese dishes, but usually very lightly. Thailand offers an endless supply of fresh seafood, and this has influenced Cantonese cuisine. Here is a list of some of Bangkok's best-known Chinese and Cantonese restaurants.
