Shandong Cuisine, also known as Lu cai, is made up of Jiaozhou Cuisine, mainly seafood, well-known in Shandong as local ingredients from the coast, along with Jinan and Kongfu Cuisine. Shandong Cuisine can now be found in nearly every corner of China and is well liked by gourmets. It is sometimes considered the most influential in Chinese cuisine, with a majority of culinary styles in China developed from it. Most notable is the staggering array of seafood,  of exemplary quality. With it's close proximity to Beijing, it's considered by many to be the original home of the Peking Roast Duck.
