A golden teak house a mere five minutes drive from the center of the city sits on a green piece of land with tropical foliage, offering a relaxing, intimate ambiance. Indoor dining areas are made from solid Golden Teak woods and separate dining rooms offer privacy when required. The outdoor verandah dining area is accompanied by the soothing trickle of a pond and fountain with verdant green trees offering shade and tranquility.
The food is very traditional Thai and northern Thai with its free-range chicken in herbs being the house favourite. Other recommended dishes include Phrae Province spicy pork or beef salad, prawns in tamarind sauce, tabtim fish steamed in lime juice, and Thai fondue. The food is tasty and guests who are not comfortable with spicy dishes can request their dishes to be milder.
Unfortfunately, Ruen Come In does not offer traditional wines, they do, however, produce freshly made local herbal fruit juices and Thai fruit wines, which compliment the Thai cuisine and make for a fun-filled evening of experimentation. Other alcoholic beverages are provided such as beers, whiskeys, etc. Ruen Come In does not charge for corkage, so guests who wish to enjoy a spicy Shiraz or chilled Chardonnay with their meal are welcome to bring along their own bottles. The service is attentive yet non-intrusive. |
