The old town of Hua Hin, with its long history and culture, is the setting for the Sasi Dinner Theatre. Guests are greeted by the sensuous sound of Thai Classical Music and white table cloths contrasting sharply with the lush tropical green garden surrounding. A well-arranged set meal of fine Thai cuisine is served while the event begins. The four course meal of Appetizer, Soup, Main Dish and Dessert can be chosen from the menu selection. Guests may also select from 12 reasonably priced wines.
The sensuous sound of Thai Classical Music, delivered from a Thai Traditional Orchestra, is an effective prelude of an eventful evening. It is an intimate affair, not one of those dinner theatres that squeezes in 400 to 500 persons as only 100 guests are served here. The program covers a wide array of Thai art performances including: A demonstration of dance language, the practice of Thai Classical Dance, which gets the audience involved. Next is a Khon or Thai Mask Dance and the show continues with dances about Thai clothing, a royal court dance performed only by ladies of the inner court. The Thai martial arts dance is an impressive and breathtaking act and is usually a favorite for the men in the audience along with Ramayana, the next performance. It depicts the great Indian epic over 2,500 years old, the episode of Great War between Rama and Ravana, the action packed ultimate showdown between the hero and the villain. Finally, there is a Thai contemporary performance that presents the mid-way point, the Buddhist practice of Non-Extremism. ...The Thai meal and 7 dances will keep you entertained for about 1.5 hours.
