A great family style pub and restaurant.
All your Thai and European favorites. Easily accessible by the Ploenchit or Nana skytrain stations.

No problem getting to this great family-style pub & restaurant as it is a short walk from the Ploenchit or Nana BTS skytrain station to Sukhumvit Soi 1. When entering, it's as though you were just transformed to a place somewhere in Germany as the restaurant has that warm, comfortable feeling with 2 large TV screens for you to enjoy all the popular sporting events. This may appear to be just a fun place with Warsteiner, Erdinger, Panlaner and Diebels Alt bottled beer all available for your pleasure but there is also some great food here and people come from far away to enjoy their favorite specialties.

Frank and his 2 sons had met me at the restaurant about 6:00PM and the place was pretty busy with what appeared to be business co-workers enjoying a few beers after a hard and hot day's work and a couple families eating their favorite Thai and German dishes. We had a seat next to the bar at a table that offered a movie theatre view of the over-sized TV screen that was showing some Rugby finals. Frank ordered a Warsteiner, his sons ordered Carlsberg draught beer and I ordered a bottle of Erdinger. We chatted a bit about his twin sons just graduating college and what their future will hold. We casually looked over the menu but it takes a moment to view it as the menu is vast with lots of great choices …breakfast, sandwiches, soups, small dishes, four pages of main courses, pizza and pasta, fish & seafood, salads, side dishes, Thai food, dessert and ice cream. Frank was here last week and had the Cheese Sausage Plate with Potato Salad, considered one of their small dishes, but he insists the only thing small was the price, 185 baht. Today I had my eye on the Pork Knuckle served with Potatoes and Sauerkraut while Frank was having the Grill Platter, a huge assortment that is accompanied by Vegetables and choice of Potatoes. One of the boys chose the Hungarian Devil's Spear served with hot sauce, French Fries and Salad while the other chose the Rump Steak with Herb Butter, French Fries and Vegetables. It was a fun evening as the boys passed food back and forth, everybody getting to enjoy each others. Everything was absolutely delicious but there was no way I could eat one more crumb and then the boys said "How about dessert?" I couldn't believe it as I watched them devour an order of Fried Pineapple with Ice Cream and Vanilla Sauce plus an order of Tiramisu. The menu includes all the traditional Thai dishes and Seafood selections.

Carlsberg is on draft with all the popular imported German beers and even Possmann Apple Wine. Bar beverages are available but beer is the ticket here. Main courses vary in price, however, many dishes are less than 200 baht so try this place … you won't be disappointed but you'll get plenty to eat!
