Serving authentic Japanese cuisine, the restaurant
provides a relaxed atmosphere with simple decor and
traditional favorite dishes. This is a hip sushi bar catering
to Lan Kwai Fong's youthful nighttime revelers offering
sushi and sashimi (raw fish) a la carte, as well as combo
platters. Sushi combinations run from US$20 to US$47.
Unique, however, are the California-style roll creations,
like the deep-fried soft-shell crab with avocado,
cucumber, crab roe, and mayonnaise, or the roll with
crabmeat, asparagus, sliced fish, mushroom, and egg.
Probably the best deal is one of the set lunches, featuring
sashimi, tempura, or a box lunch. As the menu states, this
restaurant has a "slightly irreverent, innovative, and
casual approach to the Japanese culinary experience."
Luckily, it succeeds.
Lan Kwai Fong is the ultimate dining & clubbing quarter in
Hong Kong Central. You'll find a mixed crowd of
foreigners and upscale Chinese here. Great decor, great
service, great crowd and to top it all off, the sushi is
fabulous. |
