A landmark for almost 30 years at Nai Lert Market in Pratunam until development forced the restaurant out, it now offers a large array of their award winning seafood at their location just up the street on Rajprarob Road. Easy to spot, the restaurant has a large neon sign on the building and patrons enter to find the fresh catch of the day in large tanks of fish and seafood and a large dining area with huge chrome style pillars separating the space.
The main menu is where "T Restaurant" impresses the most with their Thai-Chinese style entrees like Stir-fried Crab with Curry Powder Sauce, Deep-fried Crab with Black Pepper along with Deep-fried Calamari or Shrimp with Garlic and Pepper or Stir-fried Lobster with Chinese XO Sauce. The menu offers at least 16 choices of crab and even more selections of shrimp. There are about numerous choices of fish and the customer can choose the style of cooking he prefers; deep-fried, steamed, grilled, or stir-fried from popular choices of fish including Pomfret, Grouper and Sea Bass. Clams, cockles, mussels, oysters and sea snails have about a dozen choices on the menu and mixed seafood dishes are especially popular as they include; Mixed Seafood Soup, Cook-It-Yourself Hot Pots, Tom Yum Goong (Thai Spicy & Sour Soup), many stewed soups, such as; Stewed Abalone with Chinese Mushroom Soup.
There is a great assortment of stir-fried vegetables that include; Stir-fried Chinese Broccoli with Salted Fish or Oyster Sauce, Stir-fried Kale with Chinese Mushroom, and one that I found especially delicious; Stir-fried Almond Nuts, Gingo Seed and Pork Topping with Crispy Sweet Basil Leaf. The array of rice and noodle dishes is also generous with dishes like; Roasted Goose Claw with Yellow Noodles, Stir-fried Yellow Noodles with Shrimp, Stir-fried Sea Asparagus with mixed Seafood and one of the best dishes on the menu, the Stir-fried Abalone with Oyster Sauce and Vegetables preoared Chinese Style.
the choice of drinks include about a dozen each of red and white wine from France, Australia and Chile with an assortment of beer, bar drinks, fruit juices and soft drinks. |
