The menu is eclectic, including Mediterranean dishes and options from around Asia as well as contemporary Thai cuisine. Appetisers include sensational seared ahi tuna on a bed of avocado, pumpkin and papaya with a wasabi lime vinaigrette at 345 / 675 baht . The fish was barely seared, its freshness and flavor complemented by the fruity accompaniment and the citrus dressing.Goong sarong from the Thai menu is an excellent choice; and goes well with one of the salads. Grilled beef tenderloin and arugula with shaved parmesan is a wonderful combination and prepared to perfection. Grilled snapper on a bed of char-grilled broccoli and cherry tomatoes is delightful. Other options include a starter of tasty blue crab cakes, with pomelo, apple & cucumber salad in a red-curry dressing at 195 / 385 baht; black crabs cracked and wok-fried with black pepper at 225 / 425 baht; and three grilled peppercorn pork noisettes served with apple-cinnamon mashed potato and buttered cabbage. Squid Ink Fettucini with rock lobster in a cognac-nutmeg-cream sauce is 195 / 375 baht The cheeseboard or a dessert is a good way to end an enjoyable meal and one can never go wrong with mango and sticky rice or the Lime Cheesecake with passion fruit coulis and margarita jelly wedges at 250 baht. |
