With neutral colors and wood flooring the contrast to the open-air stainless steel kitchen seems easily acceptable. Stone and water gardens add the feeling of calm so predominate in Japanese culture.

Appetizers will get your mouth smacking with; tofu salad with spicy kamuchi dressing complemented by a choice of three dressings to please the guest's tastes. This place is known to serve some of the freshest and best tasting sashimi in town and it is no exageration. Deep-fried dishes are light in texture while the teppanyaki and charcoal-grilled meat choices will definitely satisfy the carnivores.

There is an excellent choice of French wines along with some New World selections. Sake is clearly labeled with indicators of type and origin for those unfamiliar with the drink.

If one needs to be concerned with the price, a Tokyo-style Japanese dining experience may be out of the question. An alternate choice is to choose from the elegant set lunches that are easier on the wallet. At the time of this review there was a weekend brunch at RM80 per head served from 11:30AM - 2:30PM.
